For infection control, the slide sheets can be washed in a hot wash, to thermal disinfection temperatures. Do not use chlorine bleach or softener when laundering the slide sheets as this will be detrimental to the silicone coating.  A re-usable sliding sheet for patients is a great sustainable alternative to patient specific. These slide sheets can be washed and safely stored to be re-used where necessary.
