Double Tread

Falls are more likely to occur in older individuals, patients who are recovering, and those who struggle with mobility. The NHS tells us that around 1 in 3 adults over 65, and half of people aged over 80 will have at least one fall a year. One way to reduce this risk is with double tread non-slip socks.

Our latex-free unisex hospital socks have a non-slip tread underneath the sole and on top of the foot. These non slip socks are worn to reduce the risk of patients falling in hospital and in care homes. The top tread ensures that if the sock slips around on the foot, the wearer is always protected.

The different size socks are provided in different colours. This makes it easier and quicker to find the size you need to give a patient. There is only one colour available per size. We supply most UK adult sizes to suit the needs of as many patients as possible. For larger individuals, we now supply a bariatric size non-slip sock to accommodate swelling and larger legs.

Please note that the socks are sized for non-swollen feet. If you are buying socks for people with swollen and sore feet we advise that you choose a size larger than you would normally. Check the Size Guide to find the specifications for each size available.
