The reusable slide sheets are used extensively in hospital wards and residential care homes as they can be laundered at thermal disinfection temperatures which safely removes bacteria between uses. For facilities with laundry options, reusable slide sheets are a cost-effective and sustainable choice.
The patient specific slide sheets are typically used for hospital patients with the slide sheet being kept with them for the duration of their stay. The patient specific slide sheet is made from strong polyester and is designed to be wiped clean. After the patient is discharged, the patient specific slide sheet should be disposed of. This is great option for situations when laundry facilities are not available.
