The hypothermia bag is typically used by search & rescue teams, emergency teams and military teams to protect someone with an injury or in a trauma situation. The injured person lies in the bag to be safely carried away to a medical facility – whilst maintaining normothermic temperatures. This process requires no external heat source to work. The unique layered material warms the person up using their own body heat. This prevents hypothermia.

The hypothermia bag has eight carry handles, two limb inspection velcro-closure flaps, a triage card pocket and a long pulling strap to be used in situations that require the bag to be pulled out rather than carried out. The outer layer at the bottom is protective and padded, ensuring a comfortable manoeuvre for the patient.
