Reusable blankets for a more durable solution
The falls risk yellow blankets are available either as a temporary, short-term fix for a specific patient or you could opt to invest in launderable blankets to be used longer term. The short-term flame retardant fleece blankets are less expensive and are simply disposed of after being used by a patient, once they are discharged from your care. The patient specific blanket can remain on the patient throughout their patient journey and can be placed on top of the bed, on the lap or over the shoulders.
Alternatively, we offer two different sizes of a reusable, launderable cellular blanket. You can opt for a lap blanket or a single bed size blanket. This, being a more eco-friendly option, may comply with your organisation’s sustainability goals more appropriately. The cellular blanket is made from flame retardant polyester fabric. It can be laundered in hospital laundries at thermal disinfection temperatures without shrinking or fading.
