Interweave donates blankets to Ukraine relief

Interweave donates blankets to Ukraine relief

We are highlighting our Ukraine donation to influence others to do the same. As many of us are aware, there are currently conflicts going on in the world. Due to this, people have had to flee their homes, families and country to seek refuge and safety. This means people have left behind many belongings, and are traveling to seek refuge with very little. Therefore, these people need things such as food, water, medicine, shelter, blankets, clothes and many more things.

Many countries, organisations and individuals are doing their part by donating what they can to help those in need.

Interweave donations

As a healthcare textiles company, we supply the NHS, private hospitals and care homes with high quality products such as blankets, bedding, scrubs, pillows, duvets and more. Therefore, we have arranged to donate some necessities to those in need. Warmth is a necessity in times like these, especially when travelling to different countries.

We gathered together a mixture of textiles compromising of blankets and bedding. The blankets are ideal for those who may not have secure places to stay, or may be staying in outdoor or temporary accommodation.

Donation process

Interweave worked in partnership with Recycling Solutions, who were integral in collecting, coordinating and delivering donations to send to Ukraine. We organised to work with Recycling Solutions based on their excellent reputation and affiliations with charity partners such as Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Cancer Support and Family & Childcare Trust.

Our team members got stuck in to the process of taking the donations, and worked with Recycling Solutions to do so. They are working to donate these items as part of Operation Manna 2022, you can read more about this here.
