Seclusion range: what is Secure-Tex fabric?
The seclusion range was developed to work in conjunction with close supervision of service users, it provides service users with anti ligature clothes and bedding. The garments feature highly functional design elements to avoid any opportunities to self harm. Whilst providing comfort, freedom of movement and increased safety for the user.
Used in a variety of facilities, such as mental health facilities where users present a risk of harm to themselves. Note: sufficient supervision is still required at all times when using these item. Also important to note is that “anti ligature design” does not mean it is impossible to make ligatures, only that it is difficult to do so.
What is Secure-Tex fabric?
Our seclusion range uses Secure-Tex fabric which features quilted dual-layer durable polyester with strong “DNA patterned” stitching and reinforced seams with high strength thread, increasing tensile and tear strength.
The fire retardant fabric provides safety for the user, minimising the risk of harm. Secure-Tex fabric is designed with safety in mind, it is made to be used in custodial and secure locations.
Made in a calming green parquet pattern to benefit the user. These garments can be laundered at thermal disinfection temperatures. Secure-Tex fabric is durable to withstand this regular hot washing. Note: No fabric can be classed as 100% unrippable. We recommend service users are closely monitored.

The seclusion bedding range consists of the custody blanket, blanket, mattress cover and sealed pillow. Creating a complete range of Secure-Tex bedding to provide safety for the user.

Seclusion range information
While the seclusion range is created to reduce the risk of harm for users, it must be used with close and careful supervision. No fabric can be considered unrippable, and therefore users must be monitored while using seclusion items. Read our care of use document to ensure best practice with the seclusion range.
These items can minimise the risk of harm to the user, but they cannot remove the risk entirely. Always ensure close and appropriate supervision.
