Product Description
The compression stocking slider or sock aid is suitable for putting on tight-fitting, open toe compression stockings on patients. It can also be suitable for closed toe compression socks, but only if there is an inspection hole beneath the toes – so that there is some way to pull out the Stocking Slider. For example, it works well with the Interweave HealthyLegs compression socks which have an inspection hole near the toes. Very helpful and easy to use in combination with compression socks.
Nurses who fit TED socks (thromboembolic deterrent) on patients also report that the Stocking Slider works very well for this purpose too, especially now that the TED socks aren’t provided with a plastic bag. Users find that the stocking slider reduces the troubles and issues they find with putting compression socks onto other people’s legs.
The sock aid is made from 60gsm PU coated polyester. You may also be interested in the slide sheet gloves.
TO USE: Slide the stocking slider onto the foot with the handle end at the toes, then slide the compression stocking (or TED sock) over the top and onto the leg. Once the stocking or sock is in place, remove the stocking slider by pulling the black handle. It also assists with fitting compression sleeves onto your arm. Then once complete, turn the Stocking Slider the right way round again for the next use. Download instruction sheet
