2023 was the year of Interweave Healthcare bedding! It was our best-selling category, selling thousands online! Our extensive range means there is something for everyone. Perfect for hospitals, clinics, home care as well as care facilities. Disposable bed sheets became extremely popular in salons, clinics and medical facilities. Bedding
As we saw, bedding was our biggest seller in 2023. Let’s breakdown the most popular types, sizes and colours of bedding and pillows.
Our customers preferred a single bed size sheet, but the fabric type was more evenly split. Aside from the large number of disposable sheets bought, customers enjoyed a mixture of cotton and polycotton sheets.
Flame retardant bedding is available in the widest range of colours. We found the most popular colour option was latte, a calming neutral beige colour. Followed by blue, burgundy, duck egg blue, light green, cream, white and silver-grey! Browse bedding
The most bought pillows were the Dri-shield Wipe Clean pillows. Likely due to their easy clean, durable nature. They are great for care homes and medical facilities. 52% of all pillow sales in 2023 were the wipe clean style. Followed by the fire retardant waterproof pillow and the less expensive hollowfibre pillow.
Blankets
We supply many different types of blanket, different fabrics, weaves and weights. They are most commonly used in hospitals, care homes and for home care. Find out the most popular colour and sizes among our customers.
Colours and sizes that customers bought reflected the same pattern seen in 2022, however, we saw a small 5% increase in green blankets purchased. Scrubs
After a revamp of our NHS Essential scrubs product images, and adding some new scrub ranges to our website, we saw an increase in purchases in 2023. By far the most popular being the NHS Essentials. These are mainly bought by the NHS for staff to wear who work in hospitals all across the UK. But what were the most popular colours and sizes in 2023?
The best-selling colour for a number of years running is blue! The four shades of blue we offer all ended up on top, followed by greens and grey. Blues saw a 7% increase in purchases from 2022. Socks
Non-slip socks are a customer favourite at Interweave Healthcare, an ongoing classic in the popular products list. Used in hospitals, care homes and at home. Many choose slipper socks for additional support at home, or after a hospital stay. Let’s see what the most popular size and styles are.
Extra Large was the most popular purchased size, closely followed by 3XL and Large. Some customers who need non-slip socks have swollen feet or ankles, and prefer the larger sizes. Towels
Towel purchases increased generally in 2023, with hand towels and face cloths being ordered by a lot of customers. Our towels are available in a wide selection of colours, and are bought by all types of customers. Used typically in care facilities and for home use.
White towel products accounted for 72% of all towels bought! White towels are ideal for a wide range of facilities, their popularity rarely changes. The next most popular colours were baby pink, light blue, charcoal and delft blue. Take a look at our towel range.
Slide sheets
In 2023, we worked with professional manual handlers to create useful patient handling videos showcasing how to use our slide sheets. Our variety of size options means all patients and situations are covered. The most popular size bought was the universally useful 100cm x 200cm slide sheet. Take a look at what else we found out…
An overall increase in slide sheets purchases in 2023, with a mixture of different sizes and types. Tubular slide sheets were the most popular, as they are commonly used and preferred by many professional manual handlers. Making up 43% of all slide sheet styles bought! Followed by flat sheets with handles, and then flat slide sheets.
Interestingly, the red patient specific material topped the purchases last year. Increasing by 6% compared with 2022. The teal reusable slide sheets were less popular than the previous year, despite a push towards sustainability within the NHS. See more slide sheets.
