Interweave’s Host Afternoon Tea with FTCT: Partnership with Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust

At Interweave, we are thrilled to be relaunching our partnership with the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT), a charity dedicated to supporting children from UK fashion and textile families facing financial hardship. Since 1853, FTCT has provided grants to UK fashion and textile employees for essential items, including clothing, bedding, and study equipment, helping families navigate challenging times.
This week at Interweave, our 𝗙𝗧𝗖𝗧 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻, Charlotte, hosted an “𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗧𝗖𝗧”, filled with treats, sweets, and lots of useful information! Our break area walls were adorned with facts, figures, and QR codes, providing plenty of information about the fantastic services FTCT provides for families working in the textile industry 🧵
During Interweave’s relaunch, we promoted our partnership with the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust across all 4 sites we have. Each location had accessible information and support. This approach helped ensure every employee, regardless of location, was informed and engaged. The campaign has encouraged staff to support FTCT’s work and share the cause more widely.
In 2024 alone, FTCT supported over 832 children, awarding more than £372,000 in grants. Behind these numbers are powerful stories of single parents given a lifeline, children returning to school with confidence, and families finding hope.
Interweave’s role is to help amplify this impact. Whether it’s through creative campaigns, fundraising support, or spreading awareness across our networks, we’re proud to use our platform to shine a light on the incredible work FTCT does every day.
The Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust believes that every child deserves a chance to thrive. They are the only organisation dedicated to supporting the children of people who work in the British fashion and textile industry. We are excited about the future of our partnership with
FTCT and the positive impact we can make together. By working collaboratively, we can ensure that children from families in the fashion and textile industries receive the support they need to thrive.
There are various ways to support FTCT:
- Donate: Contribute directly to FTCT to help fund essential items for children.
- Fundraise: Organise events or initiatives to raise funds and awareness.
- Promote: Share FTCT’s mission within your network to increase visibility and support.
