How to tie a hospital gown?

First, remove your own clothing. You may be able to leave on your underwear, but check with a nurse first. The orientation of the gown opening will depend on what level of access medical staff may need. You should have been advised whether to put the gown on with the ties at the front or back. Put the gown on as advised and fasten the ties. In the case of our hospital gowns such as the popular Lapover gown, the ties are colour coded so you know which ties are to be tied to each other.

Handy tip: If you feel uncomfortable in just one gown, ask for a second gown to wear over the first to provide extra coverage.
