How often should you change bed sheets?
According to Good Housekeeping, bed sheets should be washed once every two weeks. Unless someone sweats a lot in bed or has been ill in bed – in which case the bed sheets should be washed immediately.
The reason for regular washing is mainly to remove bed dust mites and the detritus they leave behind after munching on your dead human skin. Bed sheets should be washed at high temperatures to remove bacteria effectively. It’s also important to dry the sheets as quickly as possibly to remove the risk of mould and rot forming.
