Can doctors wear long sleeves underscrubs?
Many medical professionals wear a base layer sometimes called underscrubs underneath their scrubs for warmth, especially in colder weather.
However, often it is hospital policy that sleeves must not be longer than the sleeve of the scrub top, for hygiene reasons. Each healthcare facility will be different. If you’re unsure, you can talk to your supervisor to find out whether long sleeved base layers for scrubs are appropriate for your role.
