2023 at Interweave: A review
Reflecting on the highlights of 2023, the Interweave review encapsulates a year marked by progress and notable achievements. Our dedicated team played a pivotal role in the positive trajectory we experienced.
Take a look at some of our 2023 highlights!
Launched THERMARMOUR
A major accomplishment was the successful launch of the THERMARMOUR product range, accompanied by a new brand identity and a cutting-edge website. Months of collaboration with talented creatives culminated in the successful launch, marking a significant chapter in our journey.

New products via NHS Supply Chain
In healthcare, our entry into the NHS Supply Chain with the Falls Prevention Kit showcased our commitment to patient well-being. The kit consists of a pair of yellow non-slip socks, and a yellow fleece blanket. The yellow colour is used to indicate a patient who is at risk of falling to their nurses and carers.
Previous studies have shown that this kit reduces the number of falls by 50% in an NHS hospital. Learn more about our falls prevention kits. We also began to supply our popular non-slip socks in various sizes as “stocked” products. Providing NHS organisations with a faster turnaround.
Launched warehouse barcoding system while delivering record orders
Our warehouse implemented a new barcoding system to increase the speed and accuracy of packing and despatching your parcels. The team took the changes in their stride, working hard to get to know the new system. Now, locating products is easier, time is saved and there is improved accountability and traceability.
Despite the challenges of implementing this new system, the logistics team still processed a record number of orders in 2023. They worked extremely hard to pack and despatch orders to customers on time, even while the new systems were still being integrated; a fantastic effort! Read more about the barcoding system.
Installed solar panels at our warehouse
As part of our sustainability improvements, we installed solar panels at our warehouse facility in 2023. Solar energy is reliable and renewable, allowing us to pack and send out your orders without disruption. As well as installing the solar panels at our warehouse, we also replaced a large 30,000 sq. ft roof with modern, highly insulated materials, increasing the energy efficiency of the building. This reduced heat loss and improved natural light. You can read more about the solar panel installation.
We also completed our Carbon Footprint Analysis for the year end 2022, as well as building our first complete Carbon Reduction Plan for 2023. This will now be annually updated with our ambitious environmental targets.
Scrubs photoshoot & improved sizing
At the beginning of 2023, we undertook a photoshoot to enable us to showcase our range of NHS Essential scrubs to you. These scrubs are sold in hospitals and clinics all across the UK. We decided it was time to update our product photos, so we organised a photoshoot to showcase all of the colour options from the full range.
After listening to our customers’ feedback, this also guided us towards improving sizing for a more user-friendly experience. Our team have worked hard to understand your needs. Our scrubs with improved sizing and fit are due to launch in 2024.
Started sponsoring local homeless charity
Beyond business, we engaged in our community by supporting Happy Days, a local charity in Halifax who are dedicated to supporting the homeless community. In December, we dropped off an initial donation of hypothermia prevention blankets, as the homeless population are at higher risk of developing hypothermia in the cold, wet weather.
In addition, as a company, we signed up to be a member of the Happy Days Foundation Club, making a monthly donation to the cause. Learn more about Happy Days.
We “Wore it pink” for charity
To raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness, we took part in the #WearItPink initiative. The team pulled out their finest pink clothing, and brought a range of pink themed desserts. We donated money to wear pink, and for each delicious snack.
The company kindly matched then enhanced the team’s donation. You can read more about the event.
Looking to the future
Looking ahead, we’re optimistic about the future of Interweave. Building on the success of 2023, we’ll continue to focus on the THERMARMOUR brand, expand our NHS Supply Chain offerings, and maintain our commitment to supporting local charities.
We hope you learned something about us from the Interweave 2023 review. We appreciate the support and look forward to sharing more updates through our blog posts and social channels.
